FASTING GUIDE 2026

Fasting is more than skipping meals—it is the intentional absence of food for a spiritual purpose.

In this message, we explore what Scripture teaches about fasting and why it has always been a vital rhythm for God’s people. From Isaiah, Esther, Daniel, Jesus, and the early church in Acts, we see that fasting is used for breakthrough, protection, wisdom, direction, and deeper intimacy with God.

Jesus said “when you fast”, not if—assuming fasting would be a normal part of the believer’s life. Biblical fasting humbles us before God, sharpens spiritual sensitivity, aligns our hearts with heaven, and creates space for prayer and dependence on the Holy Spirit.

As a church, we are fasting with purpose:

  • For biblical and spiritual growth

  • For boldness to love and share the gospel

  • For direction and open doors for future ministry

  • For a fresh awakening of the Holy Spirit

This season of fasting is an invitation—not to religious performance—but to intentional devotion, both corporately and personally.

We fast together—but God meets us personally.
